Social Media Parenting Class on the Prairie

We held our second parent technology class on January 12, 2016.  The meeting revolved around current social media programs/apps that students are utilizing to connect and the importance of teaching digital citizenship.
Using this presentation allowed for our parents to see the technology currently used by pre-teens/teens and talk freely about how these media programs are used in appropriate and sometimes inappropriate ways.  Mrs. Rollans and I were glad to have a candid talk with both groups on what they know, heard about some of the apps and ways we can help raise our students to be responsible users of technology.
Please look over the presentation and click on any of the hyper-links to help educate yourself on this topic.
And looking forward to the end of the school year, we will be holding our last parenting technology session on March 1st to discuss technology that supports learning over the summer months.
See you in March.

Your Biggest Fan,

Mr. Fleming
