April 6, 2020 Updates

Dear BPE Wildcats,

My thoughts have been with you all over these past few weeks.  I think about how everyone is holding up... mentally, physically and emotionally.  Know that I believe in you and that you have the skills to make "GREATNESS" happen on the Prairie from a distance.  This brings me to the online resource from "The Leader in Me".  Use this link to access Leader in Me online for families.  Multiple resources have been opened up for our students and families to continue their journey.  Examples include video resources to watch and a subscription opportunity to the weekly newsletter that will give you boosts in the 7 Habits.  An added bonus, here is the district video highlighting our campus and our sister Lighthouse campuses and why we do what we do!

Another local/state resource that is available for mental health from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.  I received this email that outlines ways to connect with mental health during this social distancing requirement due to the virus affecting our country and world.

As most of you already know, teachers are reaching out today with their lessons created in the Slide Deck presentation.  This will give students the opportunity to continue learning from their homes for the next several weeks.  If you have not heard from your teacher, please reach out to them so that they have your correct contact info.  Here is our campus contact site for you to reference.  If all else fails, email me if needed let me know and I can help connect you to your child's teachers.

With the inclement weather on Thursday and Friday, chromebook distribution was disrupted.  This communication was sent out today via text and email to families.  The new date is April 8th from 10-2 at Round Rock HS.  Here is the info shared to our families.

One final note... know that I am here for you.  Most of you that know me I love my job and love helping others in life.  Please continue to connect with me or your teachers... we all are social creatures that need to know we are apart of a family.  Our Wildcat family is strong and here for one another to get through these next few weeks!!!

How To Stay Connected With Resources

Hey BPE Families and Teachers,

As I shared with everyone recently in a campus wide email, I am getting back into using this blog site to communicate during our social distancing learning for the next few weeks.  This is going to be good for me to improve my written communication (don't worry, I will still do my "Mr. Fleming Fireside Chats" and here is my most recent one from today.)
Here is the link to a Google Slide that will direct you to all the resources being shared out from the district/campus/city/world level.  Learning during this time is fast paced, so if I miss something and you think I should add it to the slides, please email the info so I can review and update.  It is a skeleton right now and as more info comes in, I will update the sections and explain what is new in upcoming posts.

Here a few pics that make me smile from our home distant learning time.  The good thing is that my kids are building their friendship and added bonus... Clean cars for our family!  There was definitely a water hose fight that occurred during the car washing.
