2016 Variety Show

This past Friday, we had a wonderful 2016 Variety show that demonstrated many beautiful talents our students have here on the Prairie.  I love that we can celebrate these unique abilities and for others to enjoy.  My hands hurt from clapping and jaw was sore from smiling at all of these kids having the courage to perform and execute each of the skits.  I am always proud and surprised when I see our students shine on stage.

Social Media Parenting Class on the Prairie

We held our second parent technology class on January 12, 2016.  The meeting revolved around current social media programs/apps that students are utilizing to connect and the importance of teaching digital citizenship.
Using this presentation allowed for our parents to see the technology currently used by pre-teens/teens and talk freely about how these media programs are used in appropriate and sometimes inappropriate ways.  Mrs. Rollans and I were glad to have a candid talk with both groups on what they know, heard about some of the apps and ways we can help raise our students to be responsible users of technology.
